Clash of Clans Update - TH16 Dec 2023 - Complete

Town Hall 16 is now available to upgrade in clash of clans. New hero root rider (elixir troop) is available at town hall 15 for this upgrade your barracks to level 17.
At town hall level 16 Defenses can be combined to make it more powerful like single, mega or ultra defenses.

• Town Hall 16 Giga inferno has a new look different it looks like a magnified solar blast from sun.
• Now TH16 weapon needs to be upgraded only once instead of multiple times unlike other town hall levels giga infernos.
• Poison damage will happen when town hall gets destroyed.

How to Merge Defenses/ buildings : Town Hall 16

It is important to note merging defenses is permanent once you merge them you cannot unmerge again.

• To merge any two defenses like cannon or archer towers they need to be at max level. 
• Once you merge them they have option to upgrade further to make it more powerful.

1. Archer Tower Combining Trick.

You can combine 2 archer towers to get multi archer tower. Multi archer tower will target upto 3 enemy troops. 

• If there are less than 3 targets then multi archer tower attacks will be faster.
• However if there is 1 target then it will be shot by 3 arrows. If there are 2 targets then one target will be shot twice.
• You can get upto 2 of these multi archer towers and range is 10 tiles.

2. Ricochet Cannon Combining

You can combine 2 cannons to get ricochet cannon that has more than double hp than a regular cannon. 

• Not just that, damage is doubled and shots from cannons can bounce from its main target and damage second target.
• You can get maximum upto 2 ricochet cannon and range is 9 tiles.

New Hero Equipment.

Hero equipment can be used by town hall 8 and higher players which allows you to improve hero abilities during battle.

• Barbarian kings iron fist ability is now broken down into hero equipment that you can upgrade and replace. There is barbaian puppet which unlocks you these ability.
• For example you can replace ability to summon raged barbarians with item called vampstache which adds ability to heal barabrian king with each attack.

New Blacksmith Building

Blacksmith building is available at town hall 8. This is related to hero gears where you can customise your hero abilities and upgrade equipment.

New resources is available

Shiny ore for common equiment, glowy ore for common and epic hero equipments and starry ore for epic equipments beyond certain levels.

How to get these new Ores / Resources ?

Here are 4 ways you can get these resources

1. Home Village Star bonuses.
2. Clan War.
3. Buy it from trader.
4. Purchase from in game shop.

You can also use gems to finish upgrade when you have enough resources available to upgrade them.

How to use Hero Equipment ?

Heroes can equip upto 2 equipment at a time. For this go to blacksmiths equipment and drag hero eqipment from inventory onto your hero.

• It is important to know there are 2 types of abilites active and passive. 
• Passive abilities are automatic and you dont have to activate. 
• Active ability can be used manually in game when you attack.
• Common equipment can be upgraded upto level 18 by upgrading blacksmith building.
• Epic equipment unlocks during special events in clash of clans and can upgraded max upto 27 levels.

Barbarian king

Active Abilities (manual)

Barbarian Puppet: Summons raged barbarians and increases hero hp/ recovers them.
Rage Vial: Rages barbarian king to increase damage, movement speed and recovers hero hp.
Earthquake boots: Damages walls and buildings, increases movement speed and hero hp.

Passive Abilities (automatic)

Vampstache: Heals Barbarian King with each attack.

Archer Queen

Active Abilities
Archer Puppet: Summons archers hero, recovers hp and damage.
Invisibility Vial: Turns into Invisible queen, increases damage and hp.
Giant Arrow: Shoots giant arrow across enemy village hero, increase damage and hp.
Healer Puppet: Summons healers hero, increases hero hp and heals hero.

Grand Warden

Active Abilities
Eternal Tome: Warden and near by troops becomes immune to damage.
Healing Tome: Heals warden and nearby troops, recovers and increases hero hp.

Passive Abilities
Life Gem: Troops Gain Extra HP, hero increase dps and hp.
Rage Gem: Troops does extra damage, hero increase damage and attack speed.

Royal Champion

Active ability
Royal Gem: Heals royal champion, significantly increase dps and hp.
Seeking shield: Throws hero shield dealing damage to multiple targets and increases hp.

New Troop: Root Rider

This troop unlocks at TH15 and upgrade barracks to level 17 to use them.

Root rider uses mount and looks like a tough tree root and can smash through walls and destory defenses.
Favorite targets are defenses and damages single target at a time. It cost 20 housing space and 3min 40 sec to train them.

Finally we have New Hero Pet: Pet Name: Spirit Fox

Available at Town Hall level 16 and when you upgrade pet house to level 9. It has ability that can turn hero invisible for a few seconds.

New Friendly challeneges are available for home and builder base. Partial training of army is possible now via quick train option.
